AN IN-PERSON EVENT RECOMMENDED & SPONSORED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM
This service is built around the poetic liturgical prayers and litanies of the ecumenical Iona Community, based in the ancient abbey on the island of Iona off the west coast of Scotland. Rooted in Celtic theology, it seeks to incorporate Christian expressions from around the world. The music of the service is offered by Iona Passage, a band of Celtic musicians, including a piano, fiddle, flute and harp.
As we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Vatican's "Decree on Ecumenism" and give gratitude for "The Beauty of Holiness" (1 Peter 1:15-16), join Christians from various traditions in celebrating the unity we share in Jesus Christ throughout the Greater Toronto Area in 2024.
